Hi! I’m Kimi Broadbent, the founder of The Pilates Vibe Online.
I am a mum to two beautiful little girls and a fur child Ollie. I’ve been teaching Pilates, Personal Training and movement rehab since 2007 and it is my passion to see people enjoy moving their bodies!
The Pilates Vibe used to be a physical studio for 5 years before it was closed down during covid lock downs. I shifted the business online and to Seaview Health Group in Beaumaris and am loving the evolution of TPV in that it gives me more time to enjoy time with my family.
I am a Principle Trainer with Pilates Alliance Australasia (Australian Pilates peak body) which is the highest level of training and experience attainable, was an Educator for Polestar Pilates for 10 years and am now educating the Body Organics Teacher Training Certification under The Pilates Vibe within Victoria.
I have always loved and excelled in sport and exercise from a young age.
Fast forward to my early to mid twenties where I was broken from elite netball, Pilates helped me recover from multiple injuries including foot fractures, plantar fasciitis, meniscal tears, shoulder hypermobility and 2 herniated discs.
In fact, I went on to successfully hike to Everest Base Camp just 8 weeks after I herniated L5/S1 in 2017!
I love adventure and camping, chocolate, low brow humour and using the Pilates method to help people move better and feel strong and confident in their own body. I am a coeliac, endo-warrior and am eternally grateful for the tools Pilates has taught me in managing my health through it all.
Many people ask if I am a clinical Pilates teacher. I don’t resonate with this term, even though I have worked for 15 years in physio and osteo clinics! I like to refer to it more as Pilates therapy. I am grateful my toolbox is vast as I have had many great mentors over the years and am confident in working with body’s from all walks of life.
I really hope you enjoy the platform, I have put years of practice and research into my classes for you and you will find you’ll build strength, mobility and confidence…all you have to do is get started!!
